Oh Happy Day!!! OK, so I was a bit concerned that the Revlon clearance make up items would NOT qualify for the $7 ECB when you purchase 2. In these types of cases I do not use my ECB in the event that I would be returning said items. Also, I decided to forego the beauty tools purchase for which I even had 2 $1 off coupons printed from Target.com (it says Manu Q but has a Target logo on it...)
These clearance items were SUCH.A.GOOD.DEAL @ 75% off, I even bought 3 of them. For all 5 of the items in the picture above I paid $17.96 and received $16.50 back in ECB! [OOP $1.50! Without coupons I still only would have paid $5.50- not bad considering the Revlon foundation's reg price was $15!]
The Revlon clearance make up in fact did NOT produce the ECB however when I showed my cashier the CVS ad, and offered to show her the SIGN regarding the $7 ECB on the shelf right below my sale items, she agreed- and produced the $7 ECB for me [Sweet!!!]
I had 2 $2 off printable coupons for the Listerine Mouthwash [from Coupons.com] although I was not sure both bottles matched my coupons. However, the computer accepted both Q's and I received my $5 ECB for the purchase of 2!
In addition, I received another $4.50 in ECB as a result of my 'Fall Spending' so it said- ok by me- thank you CVS! (They must have noticed my disappearance lately due to in large part the unbeatable deals at Rite Aid! Miss me, CVS??)
My friend opted to buy the Revlon Beauty Tools at CVS, using both $1 off Manu Q's from Target.com. She bought 2 nail clippers at $3 each, less the $2 in Q's [they took!] and received $7 in ECB! (Personally, I would have gone for the awesome Revlon eye shadows which were 75% off, originally priced at $5.49! The Revlon deal is only one per household and I NEEDED the age defying skincare products!! <sigh>)
Off to a great start in savings at CVS this year!!
Happy New Year Everybody!!

Fun Fact: Did you know that CVS and Rite Aid are owned by the same company? Maybe it's JC Penneys or maybe all 3 companies are owned by the same parent company. When I first discovered this and just for fun, I used my Penney's credit card for purchases at both drug stores- It Worked!!
