2 quick trips today- with pics!!
I was curious about the BOGO Free Orbit gum at CVS with my BOGO Free Q, so I decided to check it out this AM with my two printable coupons.
A reader at SimplyCVSshopping had noticed Garnier products on sale at her CVS. I have been eyeing a Garnier product and was waiting for a sale. It is called Color Shield and normally sells for around $6. So I dug up a coupon for $1 off any Garnier product. I had printed it a while ago from Coupons.com but I just checked and my print limit has been reached, so it may be available for you or it may be reset soon.
Of note- Dove and Aussie hair products are also being reported as up to 75% off and there are tons of insert Q's as well as printables.....but I digress!
As it turned out I was able to score 4 FREE packs of Orbit gum!! I was under the impression that the gum Q would only take off $1/pack as indicated on the coupon? But it took the full $1.29 off so I will use all of the computers in my house and then some to print that coupon and score some more FREE gum! Love being wrong on that one!
The Color Shield, which smells divine, was on sale for half off, around $3.14- or so the tag said. When the cashier told me my amount due after Q's I realized something was not as it seemed! Turns out the Color Shield rang up for $1.57! So with my $1 off coupon I believe my total OOP was $.71?
[note to self- learn to rotate pics.....sorry!]
Onto RA- they are less than a mile apart. I still can't find any stock of Ester C Gummies to do any of the BOGO Free deals and I have 6 $2 off Q's just waiting for this deal! I believe both CVS and RA have them on sale this week for BOGO Free.
I bought 10 boxes of tissues at RA- these are for my car's center console so do not have to be *Designer* boxes. They are on sale for $1 each, and each one kicks back the $1 +Up. As advertised, I did also receive the additional $3 +Up for purchasing 10! Receipt will probably be sideways again.....eek!
Here's the pic of my 2 quick trips!!
Oops, forgot about the half off conditioner that I like to use in place of shaving cream. There really are 10 boxes of tissues just couldn't get them all in the pic. =)
PS~ Am planning a score on Boost Nutritional Supplement at CVS sometime this week as they are on sale and there are printable $3 off Q's, as well as inserts from a week or two ago, and they are generating ECB to make for a really nice deal! This product is tasty and packed with protein! The kids love em!

Taking Down CVS- Viactiv, Baby!!!
ok, now this little baby was INTENSE!!
So, you know this week at CVS Viactiv is on sale BOGO Free. At my store a carton is $9.49 [cha-CHING!!! Pricey!!]
Now, I had 4 $2 off printable coupons and a $4 off of $20 printable coupon which I wanted to use. I thought about adding in some Listerine and a Reach toothbrush so that I would generate some more ECBs but decided against the mouthwash. Instead, and because I needed to get my order over $20, I found the CUTEST double packs of Reach toothbrushes on sale for $3. I also had a $1 off printable coupon for the Reach toothbrush but I NEVER expected the double pack to be part of the sale???
Yippee for me that it was!! And look how cute these little *designer* toothbrushes are?!
Here's the math on this baby:
4 cartons of Viactiv for $19 [BOGO Free]
1 double pack Reach toothbrushes for $3
Total: $22
FIRST, I handed the cashier my $4 off of $20- it took. Then I gave him the $1 off Reach Q- took. Then the 4 $2 off Viactiv Q's- took. I was then down to about $10 with tax [I think??] and used my $7 ECB from the Revlon deal.
I was OOP less than $3- see receipt below:
Like I said, taking down CVS was a Beautiful thing!!! =)
Stay tuned for Taking Down Rite Aid- Ester C, Man!!!
PS~ I have all links to all coupons if anybody is interested....I can update post and include those. Altho come to think of it the $4 off of $20 exp. 1/6/11 but there are others floating around I am sure!

Biore at Wags!
Well, this was just the craziest deal!!! I knew Wags had a $5 Register Reward if you bought 2 Biore products or spent over $5 on them this week- and I had 2 $2 off printable coupons, AND this product is currently on sale for $4.14 or so. This is about a $1 MM, except for tax so I figure I broke even.....
So I buy my two bottles and get home and am going to put them away when I dropped one [you can see that it popped open, accidentally!] and lo and behold, I notice there is this funny little $15 Special Offer taped on it [in pic, at bottom].
Apparently I will receive a $15 prepaid gift card for completing an online survey about this product- and the code is included on the coupon. So, if it works out this was a $15 MM- who knew???

Revlon Make Up & Listerine at CVS 1/2/11
Oh Happy Day!!! OK, so I was a bit concerned that the Revlon clearance make up items would NOT qualify for the $7 ECB when you purchase 2. In these types of cases I do not use my ECB in the event that I would be returning said items. Also, I decided to forego the beauty tools purchase for which I even had 2 $1 off coupons printed from Target.com (it says Manu Q but has a Target logo on it...)
These clearance items were SUCH.A.GOOD.DEAL @ 75% off, I even bought 3 of them. For all 5 of the items in the picture above I paid $17.96 and received $16.50 back in ECB! [OOP $1.50! Without coupons I still only would have paid $5.50- not bad considering the Revlon foundation's reg price was $15!]
The Revlon clearance make up in fact did NOT produce the ECB however when I showed my cashier the CVS ad, and offered to show her the SIGN regarding the $7 ECB on the shelf right below my sale items, she agreed- and produced the $7 ECB for me [Sweet!!!]
I had 2 $2 off printable coupons for the Listerine Mouthwash [from Coupons.com] although I was not sure both bottles matched my coupons. However, the computer accepted both Q's and I received my $5 ECB for the purchase of 2!
In addition, I received another $4.50 in ECB as a result of my 'Fall Spending' so it said- ok by me- thank you CVS! (They must have noticed my disappearance lately due to in large part the unbeatable deals at Rite Aid! Miss me, CVS??)
My friend opted to buy the Revlon Beauty Tools at CVS, using both $1 off Manu Q's from Target.com. She bought 2 nail clippers at $3 each, less the $2 in Q's [they took!] and received $7 in ECB! (Personally, I would have gone for the awesome Revlon eye shadows which were 75% off, originally priced at $5.49! The Revlon deal is only one per household and I NEEDED the age defying skincare products!! <sigh>)
Off to a great start in savings at CVS this year!!
Happy New Year Everybody!!
Meryl
Fun Fact: Did you know that CVS and Rite Aid are owned by the same company? Maybe it's JC Penneys or maybe all 3 companies are owned by the same parent company. When I first discovered this and just for fun, I used my Penney's credit card for purchases at both drug stores- It Worked!!

Walgreens deals- Neutrogena Make Up, Biore & More!!
One of my teenage daughters accompanied me on a couponing foray at Walgreens and she noticed a lipstick by Neutrogena which she really wanted. It was orig $9.99 [NEVER!] on clearance for $2.49 [YESSS!] AND we had this printable $2 off any Neutrogena Cosmetic Product coupon courtesy of Allyou.com! [Coupon link below.]
We also noticed Biore Steam Activated Cleanser on sale for $4.14, or half off. Allyou.com has a printable $2 off coupon for Biore Skincare Products, right below the Neutrogena one-- how stoked were we?! I think this cleanser is normally around $8 and we picked it up for less than a third of that price with coupon! (I have also seen this Biore item on sale at CVS.)
We rounded out our trip with some Carmax which was on sale for $.99 with a Walgreens in ad coupon that we stacked with a $.55 off manufacturer's coupon I had printed a couple of weeks ago [at Coupons.com maybe??]
I paid a little over $3 for these 3 items! That completed our deal slaying at Walgreens this week.
Look for both coupons Here on page 15. Expire 1/30/11.
